A Hot Afternoon

As its the end of term we have had lots of 'fun' lessons. In other words lesson where we watch a film - some are interesting and others you just wish you are dead! But luckily, I had the genius idea of daydreaming...

I was sitting on a swing with the sun beating down on my face. All you could hear was the peaceful sound of birds singing tunefully. Daisies circled my feet as I gently drifted back and forth back and forth...

'Well wasn't that a fascinating film girls?' Yelled the teacher. Well I guess that's that daydream finished.

Car Journey...

The car is stuffy and the air smelly. We wizz past place after place. Then we come to a holt at the lights.
Sat beside me is a small hill, standing proud, rays of light bounce on the green grass, daisies and daffodils smile in the sun.

My mind wonders into its own world. I rolly polly down the green hill, the wind caught in my hair, the flowers gently flattened by my body weight.
I spin and twirl, free, free as a bird, I fly in the joy and freedom.
Then the car begins to roll forward, slowly. I am pulled out of my world and back into the hot car.

What to do...

They flutter around me, they buzz in my ears, not softly, like honey, but harsh, like the sting.
"You should, you should!", No, I shouldn't.
I don't know what to do, my mind buzzes, my ears sting, what to do, what to do.
In my world, decisions are not made, I never know and the guidance never helps.
"You should, you should!" They buzz.

(Comment if you hate making decisions or know how I feel!)

Wimbledon

As you probably know it was the Wimbledon finals this weekend and I was forced to watch it. My dad was sitting next to me attempting to explain the rules but couldn't finish his sentence without me shouting at him telling him to shut up because it's boring. He eventually gave up, what a better time for a daydream,
I started thinking about all those other poor children forced to watch some people hit a pathetic green ball. I thought home work was a waste of time but Wimbledon should just be made illegal!
'SCORE!' my Dad screamed at the top of his voice, interrupting my daydream

Making...

I make the paper girls, they stand hand in hand, detail after detail, I draw on.I plan the colour of their hair, the shape of their soft, pencil thin lips.
I wonder. I have taken my time, thinking, planning, the shade of their eyes and the size of their feet. But why do people look how they look? Does god sit, planning for those nine months of pregnancy, is the colour of nose and the hair bow for each day planned? Do we live, making decisions or are they already planned out for us and we just don't know? Is it pointless for us to spend hours, thinking, arranging, pondering when all the while, what will be will be anyway?
But, do our decisions change us, the way we are and our futures? Can we change the world without it already having been noted that we will do so?
Who are?
My paper girls, are friends.

(Does the colour of 'enjoy daydreaming' really matter?)

I sit...

I sit in class, as I write I drift away.
I lie in the fields, the long grass surrounding me, daisies, daffodils, blue sky, sunshine. The grey, fluffy dog bounds through the grass like a lamb. She comes up, licks my hand, I giggle, its ticklish.
I jump up, and run, free, dog at my heels. I spin and twirl the world quiet and yet alive.
And the the bell wrings, i return back to the drab grey classroom.

Party

The house party screams around me and I sit, daydreaming.I dream of silence, birds singing as I float up on clouds. I dream of the mess and smell drifting away of sweet scent of peace and freedom. The laughs, shouts, cries, and clanking bottles disappear and then... the dream becomes a reality, everyone has left!
